If you're beginning to notice symptoms of gout, or you're already afflicted with the condition, it's not the end of the world. In fact, is it possible that gout will actually be good for you? Quite possibly, so let's take a closer look...
Why People Get Gout
Gout is a form of arthritis that affects mainly men, beginning in their mid to late 40's and beyond. Much like any form of arthritis, there is a swelling of the joints, particularly one or both of the big toes. Joints become inflamed, painful to the touch, and very uncomfortable.
The condition progresses in stages. Mild symptoms occur, usually some mild swelling and discomfort. An attack may happen occasionally, which is a 48 to 72 period of increased swelling and pain. Advanced gout is more or less a constant condition.
