Here's my rule: I don't worry too much about "healthy eating" on holidays. Where I'd normally order a salad at a restaurant, I'll get the thing on the menu with rich cream sauce. Heck, everyone deserves to break the rules sometimes--even the health conscious. I didn't go out to eat (remember my eat-at-home challenge), but I did splurge. I'll tell you mine, if you tell me yours!

Unfortunately, I didn't get to make the romantic V-day dinner I had planned. I'd forgotten that we had family coming up to visit over the weekend--which was lots of fun, but not a great time for a romantic dinner for two. So, that will be rescheduled for later in the week. But, I did make a fabulous batch of soft tacos and salad with roasted beets (it really was a delicious meal, even if it sounds kind of odd for Valentine's Day).
But, here's where I splurged: dessert. I got a wild craving for key lime pie over the weekend, so I made key lime tarts in these adorable little heart-shaped ramekins. I used a recipe from Paula Deen for the filling, then adapted the crust from this recipe. We ate them smothered in whipped cream. (And if you're thinking: "What's so bad about a key lime tart?" Well, I ate some of the batter and some of the extra graham cracker crust, too. It was too good to pass up. I know.)
How about you? What kind of caloric, over-the-top, sinful foods did you partake in over the weekend? C'mon, make me feel better about my transgressions.
