Oh dear--weird news to tell you about this morning ... as you're sipping your latte. Imagine drinking Viagra-spiked coffee. Wait until you hear this story (which gives a whole new meaning to a "cup of Joe")...

According to reports, more than 900 boxes of Viagra-laced coffee have been confiscated in Malaysia. The coffee was being marketed as an "energy booster," and "beneficial to men." So far, there's no word about the coffee reaching the U.S.--whew.
But, you know, after the cookie dough E. Coli scandal, I sort of have a smug "what's next?" attitude about the safety of our food. Perhaps this is why I'm really loving buying local whenever possible, like the coffee I buy from a micro roaster in Seattle that delivers their beans via bicycle to my doorstep! Cute, huh?
